Ana Golja, Dana Abraham, and Dennis Andres Team Up for Indie Boxing Drama ‘Sidd’
Ana Golja, Dana Abraham and Dennis Andres are set to lead the cast of Sidd, a gripping indie action-drama blending boxing, crime, and redemption.
Written by Abraham, who draws from his real-life experiences as a competitive boxer, Sidd follows the journey of a retired super-middleweight boxer (Abraham) struggling to keep his gym alive in a tough urban neighborhood. His challenges intensify when his estranged half-brother Dante (Andres), who leads a dangerous drug syndicate, begins targeting Sidd’s fighters.
As tensions rise, Sidd finds an unexpected bond with his new neighbors, Giselle (Golja) and her young son, portrayed by Logan Nicholson. Determined to protect those he cares about, Sidd must confront the shadows of his past to take Dante down, risking everything in a fight for survival and redemption.
Directed by Russ De Jong, a cinematographer-turned-filmmaker, the movie promises intense boxing sequences paired with military combat scenes to deliver a visceral narrative. De Jong’s directorial credits include Simulant, a sci-fi thriller with Sam Worthington and Simu Liu; Wander, starring Aaron Eckhart and Tommy Lee Jones; and The Martini Shot, featuring Matthew Modine and John Cleese.
“Dana’s real-world boxing background adds unparalleled authenticity to his role as Sidd,” De Jong said. “Pairing that with Dennis’ commanding intensity and Ana’s emotional range creates a unique balance of physicality and raw emotion. It’s a rare synergy that elevates the stakes of this story.”
The ensemble cast also features Chris Violette, Ish Morris, Bobby Daniels, and Devonte Lewis.
Produced under the action-driven Kemodo Entertainment banner, Sidd promises a gritty tale of loyalty, resilience, and the lengths one man will go to for justice.
