Earlier this month, from October 3rd to 5th, the vibrant capital of Albania transformed into a dazzling celebration of creativity as Fashion Week Albania 2025 took center stage. Formerly known as Albania Fashion Week, the event marked a powerful comeback after a brief hiatus, reaffirming its role as a leading platform for fashion, culture, and innovation in the Balkans.

With a refreshed vision and a broader international reach, Fashion Week Albania showcased the artistry of designers from Albanian-speaking regions and neighboring countries, blending tradition with modern expression. The event gathered designers, models, and fashion enthusiasts from across Europe, offering three days of inspiration, elegance, and cultural connection.

Founded in 2007 by Diana Çekodhima (Sokolaj), the Chair of the National Chamber of Albanian Fashion, Fashion Week Albania has a long-standing legacy of elevating local and regional design talent. Since its inception, it has hosted numerous acclaimed runway shows, parties, and industry events, featuring celebrated names from the UK, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, and beyond.

That same year, the event became a founding member of the European Fashion Council, established in Sofia, Bulgaria—a milestone that strengthened its connection to the broader European fashion community. Through the years, Fashion Week Albania has also collaborated with Fashion TV and other international broadcasters, bringing Albanian creativity to global audiences.

This year’s edition continued that legacy, with shows that highlighted both established and emerging designers. Albanian talents such as Jona Muça, Mirela Çiçi, Rezarta Skifteri, Anila Konomi, and Mimi Memiaj presented their latest collections, while international names—including Fevzie Çamer (Turkey), HAAD and Bellissima (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (Spain), Andria (Greece), and Charles Svingholm (UK)—brought global flair to the Albanian stage.

According to Diana Çekodhima, President of the National Chamber of Albanian Fashion, this year’s event “reflected Albania’s evolving fashion identity—deeply rooted in its heritage yet aligned with the rhythm of global trends.” She also noted that, for the first time, foreign designers participated at this scale, marking a milestone for Albanian fashion’s growing international recognition.

The 2025 edition was broadcast on Fashion TV and the World Fashion Channel, amplifying Albania’s creative voice and promoting its rich culture to audiences around the world.

More than a showcase of style, Fashion Week Albania 2025 celebrated resilience, collaboration, and artistic unity. Its successful return reaffirmed Albania’s position as a rising fashion destination, where innovation meets identity, and where creativity continues to weave a story that resonates far beyond its borders.
