Kate Middleton has revealed she is in remission from cancer, following an emotional return to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London earlier today, where she received treatment last year. “It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery,” she wrote in a heartfelt message on Instagram. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
It has been a year since Kate was admitted to hospital for a planned abdominal surgery. Two months later, she revealed in a video that she had been diagnosed with cancer following the operation, and was undergoing a course of preventive chemotherapy. “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said at the time.
